Welcome to Ames Performing Arts! I’m Elle Ames, the founder and lead instructor here, and I’m thrilled to share my passion for singing, performing, and coaching with you. With over 20 years of experience as a vocalist and more than 8 years as a dedicated voice coach, I’ve had the privilege of working with singers of all ages, from beginners to seasoned professionals.

As a performer myself, I understand what it’s like to be on stage—the nerves, the excitement, and the thrill of bringing a performance to life. I bring that firsthand experience into every lesson I teach. Whether you’re preparing for an audition, refining your technique, or just discovering the joy of singing, my goal is to help you build a strong, healthy voice while nurturing the confidence to shine.

In addition to private coaching, I also work professionally as a contracted artistic director, vocal director, music director, choreographer, and assistant director for theater productions of all sizes. These roles allow me to stay actively involved in the broader performing arts world and bring real-world experience, insight, and up-to-date industry standards into my teaching.

With training in healthy vocal technique and voice pedagogy, I’m always continuing my education to ensure I’m offering the best tools and techniques available. Many of my students have gone on to perform at the highest levels, and I’m proud to be compared to Broadway-level coaches in the industry.

Beyond music, I’m a proud mom and a military spouse, so I know the importance of balancing life and passions. Whether you’re working around a busy schedule or aiming for the next big performance, I’ll work with you to make the most of every lesson.
